Beaumont House's owners were eager to emulate the luxurious quality of their guesthouse following considerable spend on renovation works. In addition to this presentation exercise, Alan Bishop (hotel owner) looked to increase the number of people visiting his website with a view to gaining enquiries and online bookings. “Our previous website worked well in displaying the facilities Beaumont House offered prior to our extensive renovation works. The new website shows off these renovation works in a clear, attractively designed and easy to use format.” SolutionThe website was given a highly luxurious image revamp, showcasing the latest rooms available, along with other sections of the hotel, giving visitors an excellent user experience. Combining this image revamp with an SEO campaign and careful Pay Per Click advertising management has achieved the dual effect of increasing visitors, enquiries and online bookings. “Since the website has been re-designed and optimized, I have been able to see an increase in the number of enquiries and online bookings we are receiving. Even after we reduced the budget on the Pay Per Click account, we saw increased numbers of visitors to the site in the following month, thanks to the SEO work that had been carried out. We are now listed on the first page of Google for several chosen search terms, with the results steadily improving, and the number of site visitors are increasing on a monthly basis.” A content management system has also been set up behind the Beaumont House website, so that content is able to updated, added or deleted as necessary. For Alan, this was a key requirement, as the hotel regularly has special offers or news items, which they wish to share with their customers. “The web-based interface is so easy to use, that it actually makes you feel in control. Being able to add content to the website with little effort is perfect. I can add new news items or offers to the site when required, with ease. Without this feature, I would have to be on the phone every couple of weeks asking the team to make amendments to the site.” Since the launch of the new site, Alan Bishop has commented on the key role this project has played in gaining good room occupancy. Most importantly, Alan has received positive feedback from customers visiting the site for information, who have commented on how well the site looks and how easy it is to use.
